Performs administrative activities and support functions for a large state park. Provides both routine and specialized administrative support.
- Assists with the management of the park's visitor center / office to include answering the phone in a professional manner, assisting walk-in visitors with information, handling reservations for campsites, cabins, shelters, etc. in accordance with agency guidelines.
- Familiar with or trainable in use of a Central Reservation System.
- Receives and disseminates incoming correspondence and screens that which needs to be handled personally by supervisor; forwards remainder to appropriate staff members.
- Performs continuous public relations activities with emphasis on quality Customer Service.
- Helps maintain a clean and safe office environment.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- This is a part-time position that works a range of 16-40 hours per week (negotiable) depending on demand and the time of year
