We are looking for a full-time Customer Service Sales Assistant for a fruit brokerage firm. This position requires the candidate to be a vibrant front office assistant who is a highly-motivated self-starter, extremely detail oriented, capable of working efficiently in both an independent capacity and team environment. Candidate must be flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, operating with a high level of professionalism and discretion. There will be multiple tasks to do and it is up to the associate to prioritize and make sure that everything is taken care of. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate services provided by the company and be able to problem solve and answer clients’ questions when they occur.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Customer service: interact with customers daily, process sales memos, occasionally arrange time sensitive logistics, prepare reports and digitally manage product quality documentation
- Sales team assistance: coordinate samples, trade show preparation, customer research, assemble quotes and support the team effort
- General office administrative tasks: answer phones, file organization, travel coordination and maintain office supplies
- Assist with various projects as assigned, including working with confidential information
- Contribute to a positive environment and keep a great attitude

- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in various order processing software applications
- Proven ability to handle high volume business in a highly professional manner
- Accurate and detailed oriented in a fast paced environment
Communication
- Excellent Customer Service and client facing skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in professional written and verbal communication
Education and Experience
- 3+ years of office/clerical experience required
- 3+ years of Customer Service experience required
- Proficient MS Office Skills required
- AA Degree or 4 Year College Degree preferred
