Our Team is actively seeking a highly motivated Government Sales Representative who will be responsible for the expansion and continued growth of Government Accounts (including Public Schools, Public Colleges, Universities and Healthcare Operations) Activities include telephone prospecting, qualifying and proactive solicitation of leads including the use of video conferencing and approved outside sales activities.
Job Duties:
- Take responsibility for the full-life cycle of sales to include: identify prospects, source products, prepare quotation, manage order status, and communicate status of orders with the customer
- Create goals and objectives for targeting government customers to maximize sales growth
- Generate new sales opportunities with government clients
- Create and maintain proposal and contract documents relative to government/GSA schedule, projects, and contracts
- Serve as a company representative at industry events, conferences, and/or tradeshows
- Promote product knowledge by setting up meetings and offering product demonstrations to government customers
- Perform any other assigned proprietary duties as needed
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have a hunter mentality and an entrepreneurial spirit, constantly looking for new opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Ability to structure your own time to maximize productivity
- Competitive in nature, yet able to be a team player
- Detail oriented with an emphasis on organizational skills, problem solving, and client communication
- Proficiency in Outlook/Word/Excel/Adobe Acrobat is required.
- Strong interpersonal telephone and written/electronic communications skills.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- 1+ years of experience in sales or a similar role (preferred)
- Some college experience (preferred but not required)
