Customer Service Representative
Job Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will field calls, emails, and chat requests from customers who have questions, comments, or complaints about our products and services. You will also assist customers in placing orders. All of our Customer Service Representatives are trained to understand the full menu of our offerings so that they can provide our customers with excellent service. We prefer candidates who have some background in Customer Service or sales, but we are willing to train the right person.
Customer Service Representative Duties and Responsibilities
- Listen, document, and help resolve conflicts with customers
- Answer questions or handle complaints from customers
- Field phone calls, emails, and chat requests
- Provide information to customers about order status and product queries
- Process customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures
- Work closely with the credit department to resolve disputed credit items
Customer Service RepresentativeQualifications:
- Any manufacturing, mechanical or technical knowledge is essential; however, any individual will still have a lot to learn about our unique product and operations.
- At least a 2-year college degree required
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior office experience or Customer Service experience preferred
This is an entry-level position in our sales support staff that requires regular communication with national sales representatives to help them price orders, advise lead times and answer any inquiries our reps may have. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding and interest in how things are built, as this position will be consistently working on Bills-of-Material, potential production challenges, product requirements, etc. Our hope is to find a candidate that is passionate about manufacturing so they can learn our product and stay for the long-run.
Cole has provided lighting for many of the most significant projects in the country, working with designers in all areas to develop fixtures which meet a wide range of requirements. Custom lighting remains as the most interesting aspect of the business, as each job presents its own new challenges.
