Job Overview:
As a Customer Service Representative at American Family Insurance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring positive customer experiences. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing information, and resolving issues. The ideal candidate is a personable and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.
Work Location: In person, must live within 15 miles of Lawrenceville GA to be considered
Responsibilities:
- Customer Support:
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat.
- Provide accurate information about insurance policies, coverage, and claims processes.
- Assist clients in navigating our online portal and self-service options.
- Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to address complex customer concerns.
- Policy Management:
- Process policy changes, updates, and renewals.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date client information in the database.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed and organized records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Prepare and send out relevant documentation to clients.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide seamless onboarding for new clients.
- Work closely with underwriters and claims specialists to streamline processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Customer Service, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Customer Service software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of insurance products and terminology is a plus.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree is a plus).
- Insurance-related certifications are desirable.
