The CSR II will work both with customers as well as outside sales representatives and internal staff within their specified market concerning quotations, drawings, pricing, stock and availability, government purchase orders and contracts and other duties as needed/assigned.
The successful candidate will have the character and experience to work independently or closely in a small team for the majority of the time while utilizing many resources provided from different departments and tools.
The candidate will be pivotal in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and quoting and interfacing existing customers.
- Set up new customers with the appropriate terms and conditions with new customer onboarding requirements.
- Ability to understand and interpret customer drawings and specifications, working in customer portals, following procedures for governmental customer flow downs, shelf-life requirements, surveys, packaging requirements, mil specs, origin/destination inspections, part marking and deciphering solicitation/clauses and modifications.
- Prepare quotations per the customer requirements, ensuring compliance to IATF16949/AS9100.
- Manage priorities and have the ability to coordinate competing tasks, projects, and customers simultaneously and successfully.
- Be a customer advocate while providing updates, strong communication, and project/order updates.
- Review and correct unfavorable gross margins; coordinate with Program Manager.
- Initiate XP (sample/prototype) orders, EO process, and routing of paperwork for PPAP-FAI parts.
- Answer and assist with customer phone calls, price, and availability, RGA, and product and application questions.
- Good interpersonal skills, an involved member of the team promoting ideas and brainstorming to consistently look for opportunities to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to build and retain positive relationships with team members, internal staff, and customers.
