Opening & Closing Procedures
-Starting up and shutting down computers and programs.
-Pulling charts for the following day.
-Counting cash drawer, preparing deposit, batching credit card terminal, and exporting reports.
-Ensuring that the physical state of the front area is in excellent condition and assisting in cleaning or maintenance if necessary.
Client Communication
-Keeping a positive attitude and friendly composure with all clients and employees.
-Answering phones and scheduling appointments.
-Assisting with medical inquiries if the situation allows.
-Maintaining online text communications from clients.
-Appointment reminders and confirmations.
Appointment Scheduling
-Selecting correct date, time, and doctor for each particular appointment.
-Using tactical judgement to decide the severity of a situation.
-Editing and maintaining daily schedule as needed.
-Setting up and acquiring all necessary information for euthanasia appointments.
-Setting up surgeries and providing necessary information to owner.
Check-ins & Check-outs
-Greeting clients and assisting them in a timely manner.
-Creating and locating patient charts.
-Filling in check-in information and any necessary notes upon patient arrival.
-Using computer system, cash drawer and/or credit card terminal to process transactions.
-Preparing and dispensing product as necessary.
-Accepting returns and applying credit when acceptable.
Recordkeeping
-Taking detailed notes of every conversation and interaction with clients, doctors, technicians, pharmacies, and other clinics or specialty centers.
-Creating records for every prescription filled or requested.
-Ensuring that recorded messages are delivered to the recipient in a timely manner.
-Transferring records from online platforms to the main recordkeeping system.
-Reviewing, filling in, and filing charts.
Filling & Checking Prescriptions
-Approving and denying refill requests based on particular requirements.
-Calling prescriptions into outside pharmacies and documenting each detail.
-Creating new prescriptions per the instruction of a doctor.
-Physically filling prescriptions with knowledge, care, and precision.
Pharmaceutical Fax Requests
-Receiving, approving, and faxing request for prescriptions from other pharmacies.
-Allocating request to the correct doctors and ensuring a quick response.
-Maintaining communication with other pharmacies in regards to particular requests.
Financial Responsibilities
-Sales, refunds, and returns.
-Daily cash and check deposits.
-Cash and credit transaction balancing.
-Weekly bank deposit preparation.
-Record batching, exporting, and recording.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.61 - $21.20 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
