POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: CUSTOMER SERVICE REP I
REPORTS TO: CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR
POSITION SUMMARY: The position offers a nice mix of work, processing customer orders and inquiries using a computer in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Establish strong, effective working relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Process customer purchase orders received by phone, e-mail, web, etc.. Advise customers of pertinent order information, such as pricing, delivery, and terms of sale. Assist customer with simple product selection and offer alternatives and/or upsell, accordingly.
- Provide leads ascertained from customer interactions to appropriate sales personnel.
- Refer technical inquiries or application requests to the Advanced Technology Center (honing lab). Refer customer equipment service needs to Field Service department.
- Provide prompt follow up on customer issues.
- Screen customers against Restricted Party Lists.
- Input customer information into our CRM database for accurate and up-to-date recording of activities.
- Onboard customers using eCommerce.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Requires a high school education or equivalent. College education or equivalent is a plus.
Experience: Requires a minimum of three years Customer Service, inside sales or call center experience. Must be proficient with computer order entry. Working familiarity with Oracle EBS or Oracle CX is a plus.
