Customer Service Representative

Position Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in providing top-notch Customer Service to our esteemed U.S. National and International Rain Bird Distributors and Retailers. Beyond customer support, you'll collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams, manage high-level ERP sales systems, and engage in data mining and presentation refinement. Successful candidates may even find themselves on a fast track to roles such as Associate Product Manager, IT, Sales, and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Facilitate International shipping logistics, ensuring seamless coordination with distribution centers and compliance with international shipping regulations.
• Evaluate letters of credit for international transactions, mitigating risks and ensuring appropriateness.
• Manage intricate pricing structures across diverse business areas to drive competitiveness and profitability.
• Administer PeopleSoft ERP systems setup for order-to-payment processes.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data refinement and business insights.
• Provide support for global Distributors and Retailers on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) matters.
• Spearhead the enhancement of global return goods processes, including classification, quality assessment, and credit coordination.
• Handle Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable functions and financial reporting using QuickBooks.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure superior Customer Service.
• Lead and contribute to special projects aimed at process improvements, reporting enhancements, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Cross-train and provide backup support for various customer support functions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in areas such as management information systems, Customer Service, order processing, sales, accounting, or marketing.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities and adept at managing multiple tasks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with data warehouse reporting tools, Business Objects, and basic SQL.
• Familiarity with irrigation products, systems, and customer base.
• Master's Degree in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems, or related field.
• Demonstrated success in team environments and leadership capabilities.
• Bookkeeping experience is highly valued.
