Inlet Petroleum Company was founded in 1986, originally as a Chevron distributor. Today, it is the only Chevron 1st Source Elite marketer in the state. With over 40 employees housed in a newly constructed building on Ship Avenue in Anchorage, Inlet Energy is equipped with over 40,000 square feet of warehouse storage, a pioneering 100,000-gallon bulk tank farm, and its own fleet of bulk fuel and lubricant trucks.
Inlet Energy provides exceptional Customer Service to retail, commercial, and government customers in Alaska. Inlet's team of professionals has the most Certified Lubrication Specialists (CLS), Oil Monitoring Analysts (OMA-1), and Machine Lubricant Analysts (MLA) in the state. Inlet Energy is based out of Anchorage with operations in Kenai, Fairbanks, and Prudhoe Bay. The inlet is also a major fuel distributor for the road system from the Kenai Peninsula to Fairbanks.
Job Summary:This position is responsible for managing Customer Service Representatives, Inside Sales, & Lubricant and Packaged Product customer accounts. The position is responsible for managing customer accounts and maintaining elevated levels of Customer Service/satisfaction, profitability and when necessary, account-related functions such as collections etc. This position is responsible for the continued growth of all inside sales and Customer Service growth in sales, education, and responsibilities. The position is required to communicate & handle issues between inside sales, logistics, accounting, outside sales, & upper management professionally.
Roles and Responsibilities:Customer Service Management:
- Manage customer accounts and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide product and service information to customers and ensure their needs are met.
- Supervise and support Inside Sales and Customer Service Representatives.
- Conduct meetings and training sessions to enhance team knowledge and performance.
- Review and approve timecards, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate smooth operations.
- Communicate with logistics, accounting, and outside sales teams to address customer needs.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings with management and the sales team.
- Monitor order handling to ensure timely processing and delivery.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure the front office is clean and orderly.
- Manage special orders and approvals, including port location orders and invoices.
- Find opportunities for improvement in Customer Service and sales processes.
- Participate in safety meetings and report any incidents or hazards promptly.
- Other duties as assigned: Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as delegated by management to support departmental or interpersonal objectives.
- At least an AA degree required
- 2 years of Customer Service or sales experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- AA degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2 years of Customer Service or sales experience, or a combination of education and experience.
