Customer Service Associate/Stocker

Store Team Member

At Cedars Village Market, you’re the friendly face and first point of contact for our customers. In our store sales jobs and Customer Service opportunities, you’ll partner with your convenience store team to help create better store experiences and make our customers lives easy.

Responsibilities

• The Team Member will provide a sincere, courteous, and friendly customer experience.
• Process and handle monetary transactions including cash, check, gift card, credit/debit card as a backup cashier.
• Follow all city, county, state regulations and procedures regarding the transactions of tobacco products, lottery tickets, and alcohol.
• Follow all safe food handling requirements.
• Ensure all sidewalks are properly maintained and clear of trip and/or slip hazards.
• Answer customer questions accurately concerning location, price, and use of merchandise based upon product specifications.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of merchandise. Restock all merchandise as needed.
• Complete all store cleaning including floor sweeping and mopping, restroom ( NIGHT CREW ONLY )
• Ability to meet the physical demands of lifting, bending, carrying, pushing and pulling of items weighing up to 50 lbs.as well as standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Must be able to climb ladders and step stools; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Duties may change based on demand .

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Must acquire and maintain TABC certification.
• Must acquire and maintain food handler & safety certification as required by county.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures including simple math.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work in a variety of temperatures, including the cooler, freezer and external/outdoor temperatures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including days, nights, weekends and holidays is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week

• Dallas, TX 75215: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Basic math: 1 year (Preferred)
