Frontier Cooperative is seeking anCustomer Service Associatefor our Elmwood, NE location to support the Energy Division.
The Customer Service Associate will greet customers on a regular basis and provide information and assistance on services and products available to customers. The Customer Service Associate will perform basic office duties in sales transactions, bookkeeping, inventory, and updating system records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promptly and courteously welcomes walk-in customers, answers promptly office phone calls, forwards calls to voice mail or transfers calls to other appropriate individuals, answer questions about services and products, takes customer orders, resolves or forwards customer complaints to the appropriate division, follow-up with customers to ensure a resolution was reached, may resolve billing problems or complaints by performing tasks such as exchanging merchandise, adjusting bills or refunding the customer's money.
- Prepares invoice for fuel services and/or products, creates delivery tickets that is used to prepare final invoices, performs customer split accounts for invoicing, assists in preparing monthly billing statements by sorting, folding, and inserting statements into envelops and prepares for mailings.
- Prepares purchase order requests for parts or hardware, obtains approval from a manager and/or supervisor, distributes purchase orders to staff, performs data entry on stock addition of item(s) purchased into company software system, scan purchase orders to accounting department for payment, and file purchase orders.
- Protects organization's value by keeping all customer financial information confidential.
Knowledge, skills and Abilities
- This position must have knowledge, skills and abilities in organization, time management, accounting, data entry, general math, financial software, attention to detail, Customer Service and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and clerical procedures and systems such as word and excel processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or electronic form.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors, customers and other employees.
- Perform basic math computations correctly. Such as; add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers. Able to determine discounts, interest, and percentages, ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
