FRONTIER COOPERATIVE is hiring for a Customer Service Associate to manage the warehouse and front desk at our Waverly, NE location.  In this position, you are responsible for, including but not limited to, the following duties: 

  • Inventory Management: maintain, order, stock, and display retail store, feed and Warehouse inventories. Perform physical inventory counts on a regular basis, assist Energy Division with regular physical inventories.  
  • Customer Service: greeting and assisting all walk-in customers, patrons, vendors, and employees. 
  • Customer Serviceassisting customers with specialized feed, grain, seed, fertilizer, chemical, services, retail orders, and in-store purchases.  Assist customers with loading/unloading products purchased from warehouse and retail store areas.  
  • Customer Serviceanswering, assisting and transferring incoming calls.   
  • Bookkeeping: invoicing, data entry, accounts receivable, complete and maintain inventory transfers between locations when needed (location-to-location transfers), manage petty cash, perform basic billing, banking and postal transactions, receive & allocate payments to customer accounts. Perform accounting clerk duties as needed for Accounting, Agronomy, Energy, Feed & Grain Divisions.  
  • Scale House: operating truck weigh scales, probe grain trucks to test for moisture and FM, and direct grain loads to appropriate grain storage areas as needed.  
  • Safety: safety is the #1 priority of every FC employee and this position will follow the safety guidelines and programs established by our Safety Department at all times.  


To be successful in this role, the following skills are essential: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs (bags of seed, feed, fertilizers, etc.) regularly.
  • Professional in nature with exemplary Customer Service skills. 
  • Knowledge of various types of feed and grain products is helpful and preferred, but not required.  
  • The ability to read, write, type, interpret the English language is preferred for greatest success at this job.
  • Ability to perform basic billing, banking, & bookkeeping transactions.   
  • Ability to maintain, order, stock, and display retail store and Warehouse products.    
  • Ability to operate fork lifts, pallet jacks, 2 and 4 wheeled moving carts, etc. 
  • A genuine desire to be involved and active in our Cooperative is essential for success.
