Mixed Signal Solutions Customer Quality is part of Quality in Skyworks' Technology and Manufacturing Group, which has responsibility for Customer Quality issues from concept through end of life. This includes setting product quality and reliability requirements and working with other groups to assure that the products meet those requirements and report the results for customer consumption. When failures occur at customers, the group also coordinates the verification, root cause failure mechanisms and when appropriate, champions corrective/improvement actions.
The 2024 summer Customer Quality intern will work with Customer Quality, reliability, product engineers and marketing teams to create tools for reliability data analysis. These tools will be utilized for providing customers with reliability predictions based on system parameters, confidence intervals, acceleration factors, etc.
Analyze large amounts of datasets being generated by our different QMS platforms
Build analytics tools that extracts information from excel, csv, text, databases to generate statistical analysis, reports, summaries, and visualizations.
A successful history of managing, processing, and extracting values from large, disconnected datasets.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
Experience designing, building, and maintaining web pages.
We are looking for a candidate who is attending a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or another quantitative field. They should also have knowledge using the following software/tools:
Knowledge in relational databases.
Knowledge in building institutive UI with scripting languages: Python, R, Javascript, etc.
Knowledge on Python libraries such as pandas, scipy, numpy, pysimplegui, etc
Knowledge on Power BI for building interactive dashboards and publishing via MS Teams
Knowledge on HTML, CSS, Javascript for building web pages
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
