Custodian/Floor Tech

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Custodian. As a custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in our three campus buildings, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff. You will primarily be tasked with operating electric scrubbers, stripping and waxing tile floors, and cleaning carpets using commercial carpet cleaners. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating with Admissions teams and managers to schedule the renewal or refurbishment of resident rooms when needed. This technician will be cross-trained with the housekeeping department to be able to assist with facility cleaning tasks regularly.

Responsibilities:

- Operate electric scrubbers and other floor cleaning equipment to consistently maintain high-traffic areas.

- Strip and wax tile floors to maintain their cleanliness and shine, ensuring safety within the facility.

- Utilize commercial carpet cleaners to clean and remove stains from carpets throughout the facility effectively.

- Communicate with Admissions teams and managers to accurately determine the times and necessity for renewal or refurbishment of resident rooms.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure all floor maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.

- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

- Keep accurate inventory of the environmental services department supplies and order needed supplies.

- Report any equipment malfunctions, damages, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.

- Assist with facility cleaning as a member of the environmental services department.

- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
