Custodial Worker

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Custodial Worker to join the team at the Independence Mental Health Institute (IMHI). This is a full-time position with HHS which offers opportunity for advancement, growth, and development.

The Custodial Worker performs manual labor tasks to clean and sanitize public buildings, offices, and patient wards, and completes related work as required. The primary responsibility is to clean assigned areas so that a sanitary environment is maintained for facility patients, staff, and guests.

IMHI is in Independence, a city of approximately 6,000 located in scenic Northeast Iowa. The Wapsipinicon River flows through town offering many recreational opportunities from canoeing to fishing.
