To assist the Custodial Coordinator in the supervision of the Custodial personnel.
- Assist the Custodial Coordinator in the selection of custodial equipment and supplies.
- Assist the Custodial Coordinator in training of all custodial employees.
- Assist Custodial Coordinator with the control and distribution of custodial supplies.
- Assist Custodial Coordinator with the repair of all custodial equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of all custodial equipment.
- Schedule all custodial work.
- Responsible for the filling of vacancies.
- Maintain a file on all custodial training.
- Respond to emergency calls as needed and be on-call/stand-by as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Regular attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3 years experience in the supervision of personnel
- 3 years experience in the training of personnel
- 3 years experience in scheduling personnel duties and hours
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong mechanical skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to train personnel individually and in groups
- Ability to handle various situations and submit reports
- Ability to plan daily and long-term scheduling
- Have and maintain a good driving record
- Ability to assist Custodial Coordinator in preparing custodial budget
- Assist Custodial Coordinator in managing moving schedules of equipment, furniture, and all other items used in school facilities
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assistant Supervisor- Day, Night Custodial Supervisor
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, and ladders. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials. Frequent district-wide travel.
