Cultivation Technician

Under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager or department lead, the Cultivation Technician will perform manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing medicinal cannabis, including, but not limited to, watering, feeding, pruning, cloning, cleaning, and transplanting. Attention to detail is significant in this role. The ideal candidate will excel as a team member within a tightly controlled, state-regulated system and timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Execute day-to-day assignments in coordination with grow operations and cultivation practices including but not limited to general plant care, de-leafing and skirting, trellising/training plants, harvesting, cleaning, and data Input.
• Adheres to all SOPs, compliance, and safety standards.
• Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers.
• Plant monitoring and care focusing on the flower cycle but not limited to. (i.e., Plant Maintenance, Canopy Health, Proper Fertigation, Scouting for pest/disease, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and bio-secure work environment.
• Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, stools, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear.
• Maintain daily record keeping. (i.e., Plant Waste, Destruction, Cleaning logs, etc.)
• Other projects/tasks, as requested by direct manager.
• Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

• Horticulture experience. (Preferred)
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Hard worker and team player.
• Must understand and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state and company.
• Able to follow and adhere to a complex production and harvest schedule in a fast-paced environment.
• Show skills in analyzing potential problems with plant health or the product being processed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand (8) hours and work in a variety of environments comfortably.
• This position requires a great deal of squatting, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift objects on a regular basis, and perform daily repetitive tasks.
• This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut/manipulate small objects.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lb.
• Handling and mixing of chemicals: pesticides, fungicides, and sanitizers.
