Under general supervision performs professional duties in the application of Computerized Tomography and Diagnostic Radiology services. Demonstrates proficiency in performing all CT exams, and Diagnostic Radiology exams, administering contrast media and other related patient care services.

Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of JRCERT approved school for Radiologic Technology with equivalent training and experience as required by the
licensing bodies.
Experience: Clincal Rotation in CT as a student technologist.
License/Certifications:
Must be registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and obtain appropriate state licensure from either the State of Illinois Emergency Management Agency and/or the Iowa Department of Public Health. *see specific state requirements below.
New Technologists, in the State of Illinois, who have not taken the ARRT exams but are registry eligible must obtain a state of Illinois Temporary License and then are required to pass the ARRT boards in Radiography within 90 days of their first day of employment.
Pass ARRT CT board exam within 12 months of completing CT orientation.
New Technologists, in the State of Iowa, must have a current ARRT license in Radiography and an Iowa Department of Public Health license before employment may begin.

Responsibilities
- Correctly performs all prescribed CT procedures in an efficient

- Is able to work independently and critique exams.
- Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures and the administration of contrast media.
