CT/X-ray Tech - Per Diem

Job Description Summary:
We are currently seeking a Radiology Tech II specializing in CT & X-Ray to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to supplement their income and potentially transition to a full-time role.
Cat scan experience is preferred, but we are willing to train!
Job Description:
The Work

• Review patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports exam findings.

You Have:

• Experience in Cat Scan procedures, however, willing to train the right candidate.
• Radiological Technology School/Program beyond high school required; associates degree preferred
• A Current State of Maine License for radiological Technology/Radiographer (RT) required
• American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
