About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Strategy & Planning Consultant to serve as a 'working consultant' for the CTO line of businesses transformation initiative; intended to be a subject matter expert who guides leaders and managers implementing transformation roadmap.

In this role, you will:

  • Operate at the front-end of transformation partnering with Sr. Leaders and Principal Agile Coach to identify current state, gaps in readiness, inefficiencies in process as they relate to Enterprise practices, and create transformation strategy and roadmap (inclusive of Agile, Cloud, other areas)
  • Establish & lead the implementation and operation of the line of business Transformation Office (partnership business/technology)
  • Serve as primary, accountable owner for their CEO/CIO domains transformation activities, partnering with Principal Agile Coach and joint Enterprise Transformation Offices
  • Create transformation strategic vision, in alignment with Enterprise OKRs and vision, and ensure Executive Leader commitment to the transformation vision and roadmap
  • Create and lead implementation of transformation roadmap, including full suite of organizational change management practices, in alignment with Enterprise expectations
  • Provide guidance to Executive Leaders when their actions do not align with Enterprise Transformation direction and principles
  • Quantification of P&L impacts associated with transformation for the business area (define this...ROI of effort as it pertains to new staff, potential positive impacts to ROI of products)
  • Advocate adoption of modern engineering practices within their domain, in partnership and support of Architecture and Engineering leader initiatives
  • Create, align, and report out metrics which support Enterprise goals for their transformation activities
  • Actively participate in Enterprise forums to highlight and discuss broader impediments; partner with peers and Enterprise to optimize viable solutions to eliminate challenges and mitigate future impediments where possible.
  • Establish organizational communication and feedback channels as part of healthy organizational change management; ensure transparency, awareness, knowledge, adoption, and recognition moments are occurring; tell the story of progress and challenges
  • Implement and adopt use of Agile tools and dashboard (e.g., Jira / Jira align, Tableau) to establish broader transparency and prioritization of work, in partnership with Agile coaching guidance
  • Model and advocate for a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement
  • Influence and lead upward and across through active questioning and candor
  • Be intrinsically aware, and advocate for, ECM and Risk policies as they relate to your line of business and products and upcoming changes
  • Ensure Product Managers are partnering with Agile Coaches to identify forward products / product areas, and create viable architecture runway and product roadmaps to fashion teams around
  • Engage early and often to align activities with Agile coaching organization(s), ensuring appropriate and timely support of implementation activities
  • Empower Agile coaches to actively guide and plan for needed adoption strategies and continuous improvement flow


Required Qualifications, US:
  • 4+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Product Transformation Experience
  • 4+ years of Agile Experience


Desired Qualifications:
  • Understanding of, and ability to track, report on and speak to leading metrics at a product + level
  • Experience doing current state analysis and subsequent gap assessment identification
  • Demonstrated ability to model out scenarios and understand broader system implications (positive and negative)
  • Proven ability to design strategic roadmaps which effectively move an organization to a new state of operations
  • Highly effective skills in negotiation, collaboration, partnership, and advocacy
  • Tangible experience working in lean workflows (Agile, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.,)

Pay Range

$115,900.00 - $206,100.00 Annual
