Title: CTE Intern

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current high school senior enrolled in one of the CTE Academies from DBHS, GCHS or PFHS. Ability to perform multiple tasks including the ability to prepare, review, and edit correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite. Organizational skills and ability to design and maintain reports, forms, and checklists. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Software to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
REPORTS TO:
Executive Director/Coordinator of Career and Technical Education.
JOB GOAL:
To obtain work-based learning hours and experience to satisfy the academy internship requirement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Task - Assistant to the CTE Bookkeeper. Assists CTE Bookkeeper with purchase orders, to include but not limited to typing purchase order requisitions, looking up codes, and confirming item numbers and costs of items on purchase order submitted from the school.
Scans, names and electronically files CTE documents to be shared with the schools.
Types reports, agendas, and materials for the CTE office staff.
Assists with typing memos and spreadsheets to assist the CTE Administrative Assistants.
Assists with copying and disseminating information be distributed to the CTE Teachers.
Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail for CTE Coordinators.
Prepares and processes purchase order requisitions for Coordinator assigned areas.
Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have finger dexterity and be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with staff.
