PURPOSE: The student Barn Interns will gain valuable experience in managing, raising livestock and proper techniques for high standards of animal care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the agricultural teachers with the care of the animals at the SJHS livestock barn.
- Clean animal stalls and ensure a sanitary environment for the animals.
- Feed and water the animals.
- Prepare the animals for animal shows through regular grooming and showmanship activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
