Job Description
Service Writer/CSR Job Responsibilities:
- Initiates repair services and repairs by ascertaining equipment problems and services requested.
- Verifies warranty and service contract coverage, provides estimates, creates repair orders, and maintains customer rapport and records.
- Calculates customers payment, including deductibles.
- Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.
- Obtains approval signatures and enters repair orders into service database system.
- Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and obtaining customers approval of estimates, providing/updating contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns.
- Maintains service records by recording problems and corrective actions planned in our operating system.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2-plus years of experience in a service advisor role strongly preferred
- Experience or certification with specific manufacturer is a bonus
- Basic computer proficiency
- Previous customer service experience preferred
