Introduction
Prince William County Community Service is seeking qualified applicants to fill full-time Early Intervention-Occupational Therapist (Senior Clinical Services Caseworker) position in our Early Intervention Program. Qualified candidates need VA license to practice as an Occupational Therapist. Come grow with us and our Infants, Toddlers and their families.
About This Role:
This position delivers Early Intervention services to families of infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities as part of an interdisciplinary team. Work involves ongoing assessment and intervention in the natural environment utilizing a coaching interaction style. Consultation with other Early Intervention professionals and/or agencies working with the family as needed. Work is performed under regular supervision of Early Intervention Supervisor. Incumbent exercises some degree of independence within established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate personnel, students and volunteers. Work is performed in such diverse settings as client homes, family day care homes, day care centers, and other community locations.
Preferences:
Master's degree in OT and 1-2 years of experience working with infants/toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
Virginia license to practice as an Occupational Therapist is required.
Must have or be eligible for Part C Certification as EI Professional.
Previous Part C experience preferred/not required.
Spanish speaking preferred/not required.
Special Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass DMV record check
- Must pass TB test
- Must pass and maintain first aid and CPR certification
- Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprint based National Criminal History Record Check
- Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services
Starting Salary Range: $80,749-$108,000
