Crossing Guard

Monitor pedestrian crossings and assist users in crossing streets safely; Use signs to signal traffic around crossing zones.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide general supervision and security for assigned area
2. Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student conduct
3. Work cooperatively with office personnel to inform staff of any issues
4. Assist law enforcement personnel with traffic management as needed
5. Notify police, fire department, or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring immediate attention
6. Give directions or act as a guide
7. Maintain confidentiality
8. Maintain emotional control under stress
9. Perform other duties as assigned
