Qualifications:
ASSESSMENT FACTORS
1. Is flexible and responds in a timely fashion to changing requirements, priorities, and short deadlines
2. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to complex questions in a clear, concise, and organized manner
3. Applies decision making techniques in complex situations to include anticipating and recognizing best practices and choosing options to maximize benefits to the office, directorate, or Agency
4. Makes informed decisions about work priorities to ensure accurate completion of assignments and projects, and makes adjustments as required
5. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and expertise of major security programs and policies daily, with minimal supervision required.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS
1. Prior experience or training in conducting interviews or elicitation/interrogations and investigative methodologies; to include completion of Federal Criminal Investigative Training Program or military equivalent.
2. Personnel Security Adjudication Certification, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), or any other Security Professional Education Development (SPED) certification.
3. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Individual Occupational Requirements
Medical Requirements
The duties of positions in this series require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, leGG, and feet must be sufficiently intact and functioning in order that applicants may perform the duties satisfactorily. Sufficiently good vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required to perform the duties satisfactorily. Near vision, corrective lenses permitted, must be sufficient to read printed material the size of typewritten characters. Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 35 decibels at 1000, 2000, and 3000 Hz levels. Since the duties of these positions are exacting and responsible, and involve activities under trying conditions, applicants must possess emotional and mental stability. Any physical condition that would cause the applicant to be a hazard to himself/herself, or others is disqualifying.
