Credit Manager- Western Windows

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Overseeing staff members and ensuring the accurate and timely collection of dealer accounts.
• Setting payment collection goals and targets for the collection department.
• Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit.
• Creating collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit.
• Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with state and federal regulations.
• Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs.
• Preparing weekly receivable, aged trial balance percentage reports on payment collections for the CEO, CFO, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Vice President Sales Administration for review.
• Training and mentoring of staff in the collections department.
• Develop, review and update our company’s credit policies.
• Setting payment collection goals at the beginning of the month. 
• Develop staff into leadership. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a credit/collection manager.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products.
• The ability to work accurately and independently.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Outstanding leadership and managerial skills.
• Strong time and people management skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.

Leads Credit Team for all PGTI brands.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a similar field.
• Proven work experience as a Credit Manager.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software.
• Good understanding of credit procedures.
• Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal with stressful situations.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• Must be able to communicate well with staff, customers, vendors and other internal departments.
• High level communications skills – written and verbal
