POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Credit Analyst II is responsible for spreading and analyzing financial statements to determine the repayment capacity of commercial borrowers and real estate projects; assisting loan officers with preparation of credit memorandums; creating construction draw budgets; and ensuring the loan requests conform to the Credit Policy and State/Federal regulations. The Credit Analyst II will also assist with portfolio management which includes but is not limited to measuring loan covenants, assisting with term loan reviews and problem loan reports, and providing general assistance to the Credit Administrator.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree preferred, plus a minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressively responsible credit analysis experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Ideal candidates are familiar with accounting, business, legal, and lending concepts, and are proficient in spreadsheet and database programs. Skill competencies required include, but not limited to:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility #1 Credit Risk Analysis
Review and analyze the amount of risk within credit relationships. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and projections, to determine repayment capacity for Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, and Construction loans. Assess borrower and project strength, profitability, and cash flows. Financial Analysis may be completed within vendor provided solutions such as Sageworks or designed templates in Excel.
- In coordination with Commercial Loan Officers, assist with or independently prepare Credit Write-ups (CWUs), that include detailed financial analyses of business and personal financial statements, fully assessing the overall credit.
- Review Appraisals, Appraisal Reviews, Environmental Reviews, Constructability Reports, and other reports to ensure credit risks are accurately described within the CWUs.
- Create construction budgets and draw worksheets.
- Determine credit quality for loan grading purposes, make recommendations, and identify the potential risks associated with proposed credits.
- Communicate information to the Approval Authority, Loan Processors, and Loan Officers to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
Responsibility #2 Portfolio Monitoring
Reviewing, monitoring and reporting on the banks loan portfolio.
- Maintain tracking systems for various items including policy exceptions, covenants, ticklers, borrowing bases, financials, and other items as identified.
- Monitor the pipeline and workflows for new financial analysis requests.
- Complete testing of financial covenants as defined in the Loan Agreements.
- Facilitate and assist with completion of Term Loan Reviews.
- Collaborate with Loan Officers to identify loans that require risk rating changes and assist with the completion of Supervisory Loan Reports (Problem Loans).
- Collaborate with Loan Officers, Loan Processors, and Servicers to ensure that loans are prepared and documented accurately and in line with approval documents.
- Occasionally assist with analysis/administration of construction loan draws.
- Obtain AVMs for quarterly impairment calculations.
Responsibility #3 Provide General Assistance to the Credit Administrator
Provide general assistance within the Credit Administration Department. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with ad hoc portfolio reports.
- Research and troubleshoot loan servicing issues.
- Complete loan control reviews as needed.

Compensation
Salary is dependent on experience.
$67,810 - $101,720
