The primary role of the Credentialing Specialist is to manage the daily workflow of credentialing and re-credentialing applications with proficiency, accuracy and timeliness. This role participates in all aspects of initial credentialing, re-credentialing and ongoing monitoring for our clients/practitioners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the creation of provider credential applications with insurance companies.
• Work with providers to obtain needed provider data for enrollment.
• Website enrollments, i.e. CAQH, NPPES
• Comply with policies and procedures such that provider data is handled in a strictly confidential manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications:

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree (health care or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Experience
• 1-3 years’ work experience with Claims and/or Provider Data analysis required.
• Previous experience in a healthcare/insurance setting required. Experience with Managed Care or Commercial health insurance, Provider Data Services, Provider Network Administration preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
