Established foot & ankle practice seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist for onboarding and renewal processes. This highly visible position requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communicative service skills and the ability to manage and track multiple workstreams at once. Accuracy is essential. Requirements:
- Create and maintain licensing, credentials and insurance records for all providers across network
- Submit applications on behalf of new locations, providers to all payors
- Track outstanding applications & maintain database of insurance requirements for applications (ie lead time, form templates)
- Participate in pre-acquisition planning for upcoming new locations and practices and coordinate with integration team on scheduling TIN transition
- Release information to requesting agencies and public inquiries when required by law
- Help manage internal credentialing processes for new providers and locations
- Monitor license, malpractice, DEA and credential expiration dates and advise staff members of required “renew by” dates
- Support practices & providers in providing documentation for applications for individual credentialing at non-IFAS locations (ie Nursing Facilities, Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers, Surgical Centers, etc.)
- Monitor CAQH data and deadlines for attestation across network
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in healthcare credentialing or revenue cycle related role
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania and New Jersey insurance company application processes
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Knowledgeable in policies, laws and procedures
- Strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Suite
- Willingness to work as a team player
- Good organizational skills
