Credentialing Specialist

Annual compensation up to $41,000 based on education and experience.

We are currently seeking a Credentialing Specialist to be responsible for administering the Credentialing process for Intercept Health. They will work independently to coordinate, develop, monitor and maintain the credentialing process. The Credentialing Specialist coordinates provider relationships with Medicaid HMOs and other private insurance companies to increase third party revenue. They will also perform necessary tracking results and reconciliation for provider credentialing.

This position is responsible for implementation and oversight of all activities related to clinician credentialing and re-credentialing. As well as, accurately builds, updates, and maintains provider information electronically in all appropriate databases to ensure data integrity. Other duties included as assigned.


Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or at least three to five years of relevant experience.

At least three years of experience with the EMR or other FQHC system required. Working knowledge of Credible or other patient management systems preferred. Experience with database reporting and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software required. Minimum of 3 years of healthcare insurance experience, including billing and collection procedures, to include Medicaid, HMOs, and private insurance. At least 3 years of experience working in the process of credentialing of providers or clinicians.
