Administrative Assistant – Credentialing Department
Seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Administrative Assistant for our growing Credentialing department. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting with the administrative duties related to specific categories of certification, certification renewals, and certification examinations, etc. This position reports to the Credentialing Director.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor, review and gather incoming candidate information to maintain database of clinician demographic information.
· Follow up with appropriate stakeholders and/or online databases to retrieve missing information, when necessary.
· Ensure CAQH profiles are complete and attested with all appropriate data and documents.
· Prepare ancillary forms and attachments for provider enrollment application submissions.
· Prepare and submit various provider enrollment applications on appropriate health plan web portals.
· Contacting health plans for follow up on provider enrollment applications, progressing the application towards approval.
· Regularly updating appropriate MS Excel spreadsheets with provider enrollment dispositions and participation statuses.
· Assists in researching and responding to the Billing department on claims denials that may be related to provider enrollment.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Proficient use of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
· Ability to use PDF editors and SharePoint required.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related health field preferred.
· Knowledge of provider enrollment and its direct impact on the revenue cycle highly preferred.
· Behavioral Health/ Applied Behavioral Analysis experience preferred.
· Working knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication.
· Ability to prioritize work and do repetitive tasks.
· High level of organization and attention to detail.
· Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and/or assignments.
