Description

Derive is looking for a highly creative and motivated beer lover to join Derive Brewing Company part-time as Creative Specialist! The Creative Specialist is responsible for managing social media channels through engaging, informative content that strengthens brand messaging and drives engagement, generating graphic design materials to support taproom events and communicating with customers through email newsletter. This role works closely with ownership, sales, bar and kitchen to brainstorm and strategize marketing needs for releases, special events and promotions.

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging photo, video and graphic content for social media that speaks to the brand and voice of Derive Brewing Company
• Utilize analytics to monitor overall wellbeing of social channels including facebook and instagram
• Strategize and maintain a social media content schedule encompassing routine weekly promotions such as Kick the Keg, Good Turn Tuesday, Burger Night and Office Hours
• Collaborate with management to monitor and reply to incoming messages and comments; engage with customers on social media both responsively and proactively
• Make occasional updates to the website, hosted on Wix.com, as needed
• Support taproom events, promotions, and specials with occasional graphic design asset creation
• Communicate with highly engaged, subscribed customer segments such as our Mug-Club members ‘Heads Collective’ via monthly newsletters
• Monitor Heads Collective private facebook group
• Monitor google reviews and make occasional updates to our Google Business listing such as special hours updates
• Opportunity to expand into merchandising and label design

Requirements:

• Two years minimum experience with social media content creation and management
• Strong written communication skills with a level of attention to detail
• Self motivated and able to plan and execute projects with minimal oversight
• Creative, out-of the box thinker
• Ability to collaborate within a team setting to brainstorm and strategize marketing needs
• Skillful customer service
• Strong capability with photography and photo editing
• Ability to create attractive graphics for use on social media and taproom advertising
• Independent access to editing and graphic design software such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Express and Illustrator or alternative equivalent.
• Video editing
• Must be available for events including occasional weekends
• Knowledge of craft beer is a plus
