Creative Resource Manager

About the role:

The Creative Resource Manager will partner with production leads to develop, manage and traffic both full-time and freelance studio talent across all departments based on account and project needs with reference to scope needs and employee utilization. We are looking for someone well-versed in and passionate about organizational resourcing to set employees up for success and generate the highest quality work output. This role will work alongside the Director of Production and have opportunities to grow into other areas of Resourcing, Operations or Production within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the resourcing, scheduling, and booking of staff and freelance talent using a variety of strategies to ensure each employee is utilized within accounts and projects that fit their skills and interests best
• Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the internal resourcing process including optimizing systems and tools in order to track needs and utilization
• Partner with Recruiting to identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods based on open roles and organizational needs
• Understand how people work, who they work best with, and their individual professional desires in order to help them grow within the organization
• Maintain relationships with current freelancers, networking and recruiting to grow a pool of new resources
• Collaborate closely with producers and department leads on resource needs and actively participate in multiple project and staffing calls per week
• Understand which projects are currently in production and upcoming
• Review semi-monthly payroll as processed by Payroll team
• Handle invoicing and generate cost allocation reports for Finance purposes
• Enforce and stay abreast of legal regulations surrounding CA production labor and wages
• Maintain master records of projects and booked freelancers accordingly
• Oversee a shared coordinator in facilitating efficient project staffing for all talent within the group
• Assist with other recruitment and/or administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, creative, technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and project management skills
• 5+ years of resource or production management experience
• The ability to take initiative and prioritize competing needs in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to implement orderly processes and systems
• Passion for relationship-building and networking
• High tolerance for sudden changes and pressing deadlines
• Always willing to roll up sleeves to get it done
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to be diplomatic or firm when necessary
• A curiosity for understanding and expanding knowledge of tangible creative and technical skill sets with reference to specific project needs
• Strong sense of humor

• Discretion to maintain utmost confidentiality as related to sensitive hiring / employee and project information
• Creative, post-production, entertainment and/or advertising recruitment experience strongly preferred

Standard range for this role is roughly $100,000-$140,000. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, skills, potential impact, and scope of role.
