What You'll Do
As a Creative Project Manager - Content Studio, you'll work alongside our in-house designers, photographers, animators, editors, and copywriters in the Content Studio. It's a fast-paced and collaborative team setting where we bring the Principal® brand to life through voice and visuals daily.
Your primary focus will be managing the production of enterprise social media creative, partnering with our social media strategists and a dedicated team of creatives to oversee the development of engaging, social-first campaigns and always-on content for our enterprise social media platforms. You'll lead the project management of a wide range of creative assets, from Instagram reels and in-feed videos to static graphics, carousel posts, and much more.
  • Own and drive the project lifecycle for social media creative from start to finish-from consultations, creative briefings, and timeline creation to resource allocation and ongoing client communication.
  • Work together with social media strategists and business partners to define Creative Project scope, aligning everyone toward common objectives.
  • Evaluate project requests for completeness and clarity, working to identify and close gaps so the creative team has what they need to successfully support business objectives.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and lead consultations that help turn ideas, recommendations, and requests into executable creative plans.
  • Keep teammates and business partners aligned through the duration of the project with clear, ongoing communication.
  • Educate business partners and handle their needs and expectations, serving as the lead point of contact for all Content Studio team activity.
  • Help evolve our processes with an eye toward optimization, collaboration, efficiency, and automation.
  • Identify interdependencies among projects, prioritizing and redistributing workloads if needed among creative resources.
  • Develop an environment where great creative work can thrive.
  • Gather lessons learned and apply to future projects.
  • Run creative output reports in support of allocation, brand royalty, and resourcing needs.
  • Escalate any issues to the leadership as needed.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations or related field or equivalent of 8 years' work experience.
  • 2+ years of agency or marketing as an account manager, junior account manager or relevant role.

  • Ability to present ideas, negotiate, and problem-solve.
  • Great listening, written, and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range
$57000 - $96000 / year
Additional Information
Location
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) at the Des Moines, IA office. You'll work with your leader to figure out which office days may align best based on several factors.
