Summary
The Store Manager is a part-time position. This person maintains all responsibilities of the store during all teacher shopping events at Crayons to Classrooms (C2C). This position is a secondary point of contact with teachers and other school personal associated with the schools served by C2C. This person also manages store volunteers during shopping events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a member of the C2C staff, the Store Manager will be responsible for the following:
1. Participates in staff meetings convened by the Executive Director.
2. Successful interaction with the Program Manager, Operations Manager/Assistant Manager and Systems Administrator.
3. Participates in an annual performance development plan to review progress in the position as required by the Executive Director.
Key Position Responsibilities:
The Store Manager provides ongoing communications with teachers and other school personnel related to shopping at Crayons to Classrooms.
1. Prepare the store for shopping events to include updating products in Applebase, making signs and tags, printing shopping forms, and cleaning and organizing the store.
2. Works with the Operations team to determine product limits, based on available inventory, including recommendations for new items to go on the shelves.
3. Supports the volunteer coordinator in training, managing and supporting new and returning store volunteers.
4. Manage conflicts and scheduling issues for teachers when they arise.
5. Advise store volunteers and oversee the store during teacher shopping.
6. Creates and disseminates product distribution reports each month and semester, as well as contributing to C2C’s monthly Report Card, utilizing Applebase as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
7. Monitors and analyzes teacher shopping trip data to determine significant shopping trends and to improve quality of merchandise in C2C store.
8. Collaborates with the Operations team to maintain an attractive shopping environment in the store, which includes but is not limited to signage, displays, and overall general appearance.
9. Provides input for a monthly C2C or teacher newsletter regarding updates on teacher shopping, new products and other store information.
10. Works with the Program Manager and Operations Manager to ensure shopping and distribution goals are met.
Line of Communication and Accountability:
The Store Manager reports to the Program Manager. He/she works closely with the Operations Manager to coordinate inventory and develop solutions to meet the needs of teachers and schools. The Store Manager, in conjunction with the Program Manager, is the primary C2C contact person for local school personnel during teacher shopping events.

Education Requirements
A BA or BS in a related field, including marketing, retail management, education, or business administration is preferred. Three to five years' experience in business or education is highly desirable with an additional three to five years’ experience in not-for-profit management or a community service setting.
Experience Requirements
The position also requires three to five years’ experience commensurate with job responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements:
1. Strong organizational and planning skills

5. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
6. Technology skills related to spreadsheet development, data analysis, and technical presentations
7. Comfortable working with Outlook and Google Drive
8. Database experience a plus
9. Ability to learn quickly and take initiative with limited direction
Performance Standards - Evaluation/Review Process
The success of the Store Manager will be judged against the following performance standards:
1. Maintaining an attractive shopping environment at all times, especially during teacher shopping events.
2. In partnership with the Program Manager, meeting store visitation and distribution goals for participating schools and teachers.
3. Meeting service standards to support teachers and teacher visits.
4. Feedback from school personnel, board members, local businesses and not-for-profit organizations, etc., in regard to Store Manager’s direct verbal and written communication activities with this diverse group of constituents.
Evaluation/Review Process:
The Store Manager participates in an annual performance development plan reviewing his/her goals with the Program Manager on an annual basis. Decisions of compensation are ordinarily reviewed annually.
