Course Supervisor - Waterborne Security Boat

D2 Government Solutions (D2GS) is currently seeking a qualified candidate for Course Supervisor for Waterborne Security Boat Training Instructional Support at our Joint Base Little Creek Virginia Beach, VA location.

Responsibilities

• The Course Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and evaluation of instructors and the effective delivery of the curriculum for that course.
• The Course Supervisor shall be a formal graduate and fully Course Unique Instructor Training (CUIT) certified
• Provide Waterborne Security Instruction to Military trainees
• Ensure that employees at job sites conform and comply to the rules and regulations of the DoD and the Dept. of the Navy.
• Ensure that morale and motivation of student and instructional personnel are maintained at a maximum level.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified instructor in accordance with the specific requirements identified here and have 2 years of experience as an instructor delivering training.
• Have knowledge of basic and advanced training techniques
• Have knowledge of computer technology applications as it applies to instructional presentation and the use of classroom training aids.
• Possess above average communication skills and the ability to comprehend both verbal and written instructions.
• Have attended the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) (A-012-0077) (or military service equivalent)

• Academic credentials as teacher or professor or equivalent instructor training from an academic institution.
• Possess a minimum of three (3) years documented operational Security Boat experience serving in one or more of the following:

1. U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combatant Crewman (SWCC)
2. USCG Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF):
3. Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT)
4. Maritime Safety & Security Team (MSST)
5. Port Security Unit (PSU)
6. USMC Small Craft Company.
7. U.S. Navy Coastal Riverine Forces (CRF) Detachment or Training and Evaluation Unit (TEU)
8. USCG Shore-Based Boat Unit or Maritime Patrol Forces that employ these types of craft:
9. Patrol Boats (WPB)
10. Coastal Patrol Boats (CPB)
11. U.S. Custom and Border Protection (CBP); Marine Interdiction

• Possess or be able to qualify as a Second Class Swimmer in accordance with NETC P1552/16 (Navy Swimming and Water Survival Instructors Manual)
• Possess or be able to obtain a USCG National Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) of Less Than 100 GRT Upon Near Coastal Waters endorsement or better within one year of reporting.
• Possess or be able to PQS qualify as a Crew Served Weapons Instructor
• Coxswain skills
• Maritime navigation proficiency
• In-depth understanding of tactical small boat operations
