Courier (Part-Time)

Embassy Bank is looking for a part-time Bank Courier homebased out of the Main Gateway building. This individual provides interoffice mail pick-up and delivery services in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner to the bank’s branch banking teams and the department teams located in the Gateway Office suites.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10AM to about 230PM (or later depending on traffic); 20-25 (MAX) hours per week, occasional overtime may be required. Couriers are scheduled to work every 3rd week.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Deliver and pickup mail at each of the banking offices and the departments located in the Main Office.

· Pick up the bank mail from the bank’s PO Box at the Post Office each morning.

· At the end of the courier shift drop off outgoing regular mail at the US Post Office, interior.

· Drop-off any overnight mail (UPS or FedEx) at distribution center or drop box.

· Occasionally transport non-mail items between offices.

· Notify manager of any service needs for the bank owned vehicles such as, oil changes, repairs, inspections.

· Maintain bank vehicles in good working condition.

· Coordinate drop off and pick up of vehicles with service station.

· Provide backup coverage to fellow couriers when needed.

· Occasionally deliver bank documents to Board of Directors member’s residence or place of business.

· Change out nonworking light bulbs at the banking offices and main office.

· Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Experience and Education

· Must have a valid driver’s license for the past three years.

· Driver’s record must be clean and free of any significant traffic violations.

· Must be familiar with the roadways in the Lehigh Valley.

· Should be able to cope in all weather conditions.

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Interact well with other bank team members.

· Good oral and written communication skills.

· Enjoys working in a Team environment.

· Must also be able to work independently with little supervision and be a self-starter.

· Other Duties as assigned.
