- Represents East Coast Metal Distributors by wearing clean, company provided uniform.
- Obtains products for counter sales orders and greets customers with their orders.
- Validates correct items and quantities on pick tickets and transfer requests with proper initialing and dating. Notifies Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies to leaving shipments.
- Helps other warehouse personnel by verifying correct items and quantities with proper initialing and dating.
- Secures, stages and ships orders via LTL, UPS, and East Coast Metal Distributors delivery vehicles. Notifies Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies to leaving shipments.
- Unloads incoming inventory, documents its arrival and verifies items and quantities via Vendors Packing List with proper initialing and dating. Notifies Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies to incoming shipments.
- Submits packing list for entry of items into warehouse inventory.
- Incorporates inventory shipments into warehouse inventory.
- Becomes proficient and certified in Fork Truck Safety and Operations.
- Uses all material handling equipment safely and correctly.
- Notifies Warehouse Manager and Branch Operations Manager of any needed service, repairs or unsafe conditions observed concerning material handling equipment or East Coast Metal Distributors properties.
- Immediately reports any injury.
- Maintains a clean, neat and orderly warehouse.
- Completes other duties assigned by Warehouse Manager or Branch Manager
- Greets customers and enters their sales orders.
- Communicates to the customer products and services offered by E.C.M.D.
- Helps customers by suggesting associated and additional products related to their sales order.
- Helps customers to obtain items located in the counter sales area.
- Communicates to warehouse personnel that items from the counter sales area are in the customer's possession.
- Verifies that correct items and quantities are delivered to the dock for customer pickup.
- Answers the phone and assists customers.
- Helps customer with technical inquiries of all E.C.M.D. products.
- Invoices counter sales orders, including ALL orders shipped via customer pick up.
- Generates C.O.D. account deposits.
- Invoices and reconciles all cash sales in preparation for the end of day Cash Sales Reconciliation report.
- Requests Cash Sales Reconciliation Report.
- Matches sales orders, voided orders and C.O.D. deposits to Cash Reconciliation report. Then forward this report to Branch Operations Manager.
- Generates warranty credit memos for customers.
- Issues customer credit memos with Branch Operations Manager's approval.
- Voids sales orders with Branch Operations Manager's written approval for each voided ticket.
- Maintains displays for stock items sold from counter sales area.
- Ensures counter area is neat and organized.
- Implements timely deliveries, greets customers, verifies items with proper initialing and dating, and helps unload trucks.
- Maintains - inside and out - a clean, safe delivery vehicle.
- Completes daily drivers log and returns fuel receipts and other reports to Warehouse Manager daily.
- Participates in organizing delivery schedules, assists in processing sales orders and loading products for delivery.
- Observes all safety and Company rules and regulation in the performance of duties.

Provide support to branch operations by expediting customer orders while maintaining a clean, orderly warehouse environment. Verify and distinguish inventory shipments, documenting their arrival and incorporating into branch inventory.
Generate sales orders while ensuring optimal customer service. Increases sales dollars and profits through communication with customers and Branch management. Possesses or attains knowledge of all products and services offered by East Coast Metal Distributors and has the ability to communicate this knowledge.
Delivers products to East Coast Metal Distributors' customers in a professional, courteous, helpful and expeditious manner. Ensure proper items and quantities arrive in good order. Provide support to warehouse operations as needed.
