In this role qualified candidates will be responsible for efficiently and courteously assisting customers and contractors in selecting supplies and needed products, assist in answering phones, inventory, and other daily counter duties as needed or assigned, promote and maintain awareness of merchandise promotions and advertisements. Job Title: Counter Sales(Safety Sensitive Position)

Department: Sales

Reports To: Branch Manager

General Purpose:

Counter sales associate will increase sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in and telephone customers in the selection and acquisition of needed products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, as well as a solid product knowledge.

2. Maintain an awareness of merchandise promotions and advertisements.

3. Assist in housekeeping, merchandising, signing, cash register operations and loss prevention.

4. Handle customer complaints and returns while maintaining a positive attitude.

5. Work with other departments to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.

6. Warehouse duties as assigned.

7. Accurately use order entry computer system and other technologies as required.

8. Follow all company policies and procedures.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs, pass a physical and drug screen

Minimum Requirements:

· High School diploma or GED required

This is a Safety Sensitive Position due to the nature of work happening in the branch. Counter Sales at any time may need to use, maintain or monitor heavy equipment and/or a company vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
