Counter And Storefront Sales Associate

AGL Welding Supply Co. is a regional Leading Distributor of Specialty, Medical and Industrial gases in the NY/NJ metro area. A family owned business since 1920, AGL strives to exceed customer's expectations with excellent customer service.

AGL is looking for a Full-time Counter and Storefront Sales Representative to assist walk-in customers in finding the right products for their specific needs.

Responsibilities:

• Serve walk-in customers and assess customers' needs
• Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability and product uses

• Field incoming calls
• Assist in placing and processing orders via phone, fax, email or in person
• Receive and resolve customer inquiries and complaints ensuring customer satisfaction
• Follow-up quotations to obtain orders
• Support sales representatives' efforts to obtain and/or maintain customers.
• Exchange gas cylinders with walk in customers.
• Comply with DOT and OSHA regulations
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Possess excellent attitude
• Possess the ability to learn and retain detailed product information and ability to creatively apply the knowledge to deliver solutions to our customers’ unique needs
• Detail-oriented

• Excellent communication skills, with focus on customer service
• Strong computer skills
