    PRINCIPAL DUTIES
    Serve as the receptionist and supervise students who are waiting for appointments in the counseling office.
    Use computerized student management system-Infinite Campus (input master schedule, update records, etc.)
    Initiate and complete procedures on all student schedule changes, entries, and transfers.
    Maintain accurate enrollment records, perm cards and cumulative files.
    Handle all correspondence.
    Distribute passes for Counselors.
    Approve E-Registration updates.
    Assign lockers and enter data into Infinite Campus
    Work with Transportation regarding changes, additions or deletion of student bus routes.
    Maintain Open-Enrollment, Permit and Magnet Continuation book/records
    Permanently store grades and organize report cards mailings and all organization leading up to the mailing.
    Work with feeder schools for sixth grade orientations in spring and high schools in the fall.
    Record and update student test scores in appropriate file.
    Other duties as may be assigned.

    Eight (8) hours per day
    Eleven (11) months.

    Successful experience in responsible secretarial position.
    Knowledge in the operation of and experience on the DELL computers with
    Microsoft Office Tools and Infinite Campus data base for student recordkeeping.
    Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
    Ability to work with staff, students, and public.
    Willingness to accept responsibility.
    Good oral and written communication skills.
    Enjoy working with young people.
    Able and willing to work with students in crisis situations.
    Capable of representing the school and district in a professional manner, which includes but is not limited to confidentiality, communication skills, dress, and additional training.
    Ability to organize, prioritize, and initiate responsibility.
    Successful experience relating to adults in crisis situations.
    Knowledge of general office procedures.

The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables and carts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus while supervising students and working with computers, written materials, reports, assessment data, etc.
