Form of work**About the Role**We're looking for an exceptional attorney to join our Regulatory legal team, building a regulatory strategy to catalyze Uber's Delivery business and our Emerging Technology ventures. In this role, you would help advise our business partners on regulatory considerations, help advance productive new regulatory regimes, and engage directly with regulators on behalf of Uber. You will play a key role in shaping our approach to the delivery of products ranging from popcorn to produce to prescriptions to pianos and more!**What You'll Do**- Serve as a front-line attorney advising Uber's operations teams, product managers, engineers, deal makers, designers, analysts, and operations specialists who develop, launch, and constantly improve the technology that powers the Uber Delivery platform and Uber's emerging tech ventures.- Assess new and emerging regulatory content and advise colleagues on how Uber can successfully navigate these frameworks.- Identify and resolve wide-ranging legal issues, including but not limited to consumer protection, privacy, data security, transactional and commercial law, working directly with business clients to provide on-the-ground support, and advising clients on how to navigate emerging regulatory issues.- Be a trusted advisor and partner to the Delivery and Emerging Tech businesses, facilitating the provision of timely, comprehensive legal guidance assessing both domestic and global business needs.- Think outside the box while advising on novel legal issues.- Create and implement policies and practices to ensure consistent implementation of legal guidance and alignment on risks.**Basic Qualifications**- Minimum of five (5) years of legal experience in private practice, government, and/or in-house OR Minimum 4 years, including +1 year Uber internal.- J.D.
and license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.**Preferred Qualifications**- Experience with mobile products or technology platforms and comparing and contracting regulations in multiple global markets.- The ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in an exciting, fast-paced environment, both collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to get the job done.- Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with both business leaders and cross-functional partners, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.- Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.- Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.- Enthusiastic about Uber and the opportunity to have a big impact!For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$178,000 per year - USD$198,000 per year.For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$178,000 per year - USD$198,000 per year.For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$178,000 per year - USD$198,000 per year.For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
