We are a continuously growing World Class Industrial Construction Company currently adding a Cost Control Engineerto our amazing team.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs to ensure optimal financial performance. You will collaborate with various teams to implement cost-effective strategies, track expenses, and contribute to the successful completion of industrial construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a high level of computer literacy.
Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop accurate project budgets. Assist in the creation of financial forecasts and projections for ongoing and upcoming industrial construction projects.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify variances between planned and actual project expenditures. Evaluate cost trends and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor project expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports summarizing project costs, budget status, and financial performance.
- Change Order Management: Evaluate and process change orders, assessing their impact on project costs.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Work closely with procurement and contract management teams to ensure vendor compliance with agreed-upon pricing. Analyze contractor and supplier invoices, verifying accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial risks and work with project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of Cost Control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering or construction management preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in Cost Control, financial analysis, or a related role within the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction project management software such as P6, Microsoft project, Bluebeam, CAD, etc.
- Detail-oriented.
- Adaptable, driven, and motivated with a desire for continuous growth.
