The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Finance & Accounting team who will play a significant role in ensuring accuracy of accounting records across multiple entities. This will be done by providing clear and timely financial reports and account reconciliations.
Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Prepare journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and postings to the general ledger
- Prepare, review, and analyze timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Analyze financial results, budget variances, and performance metrics as part of the month end close process
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial package
- Ensure financial records and reports are prepared in compliance with company policies and in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with external audits, including preparation of year end workpapers
- Assist with the annual budgeting process
- Assist Controller with special projects as necessary, including research and analysis, portfolio performance and other ad hoc requests
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software, Sage Intacct a plus
- Experience in construction and/or real estate development a plus

Total Compensation Package
We offer a competitive total compensation package including:
- Base Pay: $55,000 to $65,000 annually
- Annual performance and salary review, with bonus
