Cost Accountant

Minted is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our dynamic and growing  organization. You will be an integral part of the Accounting organization, helping to develop a world class financial function for a high-growth, exciting and mission-led Company. You will develop and maintain key financial costing models and analysis using data analytics to provide insights and help the management team with decision making. This position provides exposure to all facets of Minted's business and requires an ability to quickly and deeply understand complex business models, large data sets, financial accounting and detailed financial and operating statements.

You Will:

• Develop standard costs for key business categories, products, and activities and automate processes to evaluate actual costs and update standard costs regularly
• Conduct business analysis encompassing costing, production, supply chain, inventory management, and various operational metrics.  Present insights and recommendations to department leads and senior management
• Drive financial reporting and analysis for decision support and management team reviews with particular focus on Cost of Goods Sold and Gross Margins
• Support the annual strategic planning process and budget, providing insight into cost structure, product margins and operational optimization
• Partner closely with various teams including Finance, Supply Chain and Operations
• Implement best practices in financial management and resource allocation

You Are:

• Collaborative, you work well in a team environment

• Detail oriented, with ability to research and analyze issues and business drivers
• Adaptable and hands on, with strong interest in data analysis

You Have:

• 2-3 years of professional experience in high impact cost accounting roles
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• Experience with SQL or other database query language and BI tools preferred
• NetSuite or similar ERP systems experience is a plus  
• Previous data analytics experience 
• Experience with analyzing and working with large data sets
• Advanced modeling skills in Excel and Google Sheets

The compensation range for the role applies to both employment offers and Minted employees actively working in the role. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees.

Geo Base Full Salary Range 3 - Includes AL, AK, AZ, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, NH, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, WI, WV, WY $58,913 - $88,370 (Midpoint $73,641)
