Cost Accountant

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Cost account for a direct hire opportunity in the greater Fort Wayne area with an outstanding company culture and benefit package.  
*This position is located within a 1 hour commute from downtown Fort Wayne*

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Analyze actual production activities compared to standard cost assumptions – propose a course of action based on the results
• PPV review and update ERP system costs as after consultation with VP of Administration on results
• Routine plant visits to establish a firsthand working knowledge of the manufacturing processes and establish a working relationship with the facility management team
• Proficient in all aspects of ERP systems related to production, shipping, receiving, cost, and other areas as the need arises
• Participate in the analysis of manufacturing job variances and provide reports to the required associates
• Participate in the gathering and analysis of data related to budget assumptions versus actual results and the effect of that change on the margins achieved
• Assist in accounting paperwork regarding any discrepancies and/or chargebacks, DMR's, RMA's
• Provide cost information and assist in product quotations

Knowledge and Skills preferred:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Accounting 
• Solid knowledge of ERP Systems
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to communicate technical information to non technical associates
• Excellent Organizational and Time Management
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Detail Oriented but ability to see big picture
• Must be able to multi-task
