Cost Accountant With Additional General Accounting Responsibilities This position is located in Prescott, AZ Summary: This position is a combination of Cost Accounting and General Accounting Duties. Cost Management in a Manufacturing Environment; Management/Maintenance of Models, Parts and Cost in Oracle General Accounting: Inventory; Coordinate Audits (Auditors only) for Physical Inventories (semi-annually) Inventory Reporting: Ammo, Scrap, In-Transit, etc. Payroll; Back Up to Payroll Staff as needed Weekly Payroll Report Distribution to Internal Customers Accounts Payable; Backup to Sr. Accountant as needed Banking; Positive Pay Process Management Bank Reconciliations (monthly) Month End; Close Periods for 3 Orgs Open/Close Modules for Periods for Multiple Divisions Reports/Other Duties; Accumulation of Data for Several Report as Needed Other duties as assigned to include Ad-Hoc reporting to assist Divisional Controller General Requirements: Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at the end of the shift or the end of the particular operation being performed. Accurately completes very detailed paperwork on a daily basis. Complies with Company safety rules and regulations. Regular attendance. Education and/or Experience: Education : Minimum of a four degree in Accounting or Business Management with concentration in Accounting Experience: Minimum of 3 years working as accountant with Payroll, Accounts Payable Cost Accounting responsibilities. Minimum of 3 years in the utilization of ERP and Payroll Software. Experience in supervision over work of others. Advanced level in Excel to include: Pivot Tables, VLookup, IF, etc. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability/Critical Thinking : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
