Job Title: Revenue Accountant I
The primary responsibility of the Revenue Accountant I is to support the revenue reporting function of the accounting department. This individual must be detail oriented and understand the importance of accuracy and timeliness. They will be responsible for reconciling, researching and analyzing various accounts.
Essential Functions for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Follow and perform processes and procedures for accurate and timely revenue recognition for multiple revenue streams.
Analyze and understand various service/product offerings and revenue/expense streams to ensure proper revenue recognition and financial system set-up.
Assist in performing monthly revenue recognition and account reconciliations within stated closing schedules.
Prepare monthly revenue reports for management which includes variance analysis of revenue accounts and associated expense accounts against prior periods, budget and forecast. Prepare various ad hoc reports for management as requested.
Assist in providing audit support for revenue transactions.
Support various projects, as required. Examples include quarterly Medicare Credit Balance submissions and annual Medicare Cost Report submissions.
